318 was formed in May 2009, when Graham and Caroline realised they were talking about exactly the same thing in different ways. Graham had delivered business growth, integration and improvement for companies such as Rolls-Royce plc, the Technor Group and Denholm for the last 15 years. Caroline had set up, run and developed micro SMEs for the last 7 years.

Graham used a lot of management speak. Caroline didn't. But between them they realised the ideas they were discussing were exactly the same. 318 was born from the idea of bringing "techniques" from corporate entities to every business, without the cost and commitment of full time improvement experience being embedded in your company.
